FAQ

May 2018 Update!  Our privacy policy is here: http://veuxmag.com/privacy-policy/

1. What does VEUX mean? How do you pronounce it?

VEUX means “want” in French and it’s pronounced “v-uh”. We named our magazine VEUX because it represents an idea that we wanted to come to life and a project that we want people to want to be a part of. But beyond that, we recognize that creation is often an act of wanting to create and to bring something into existence, whether it’s a photograph, a painting or a poem.

2. Where are you based?

The magazine is based out of Toronto, Canada but we accept submissions from around the world and MagCloud ships globally as well. Please verify with MagCloud if it ships to your country!

We’ve received submissions from around the world in the short time we’ve been in existence and have been pleased to feature artists from places such as Canada, United States, France, Italy, Russia, China, Singapore, Cyprus, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, Australia and Greece. Our viewership is international as well, reaching across Europe, Asia, North America and Australia.

3. Can you tell me about AVW Publishing?

AVW Publishing Inc. is a Canadian, federally incorporated company.

4. I was featured in your magazine. Can I get free digital and/or print copies?

We can provide digital tearsheets in PDF format for your portfolio. If you are a part of a team that has work published with us, please contact the person that submitted for the PDF tearsheets. Due to time constraints, we are only able to send files to those who submitted once the issue has been published. At this point in time, due to costs, we are NOT able to provide free print copies of the magazine.

5.  I was featured in your magazine but my name/business/website/credit was spelled incorrectly.

VEUX Magazine strives to provide accurate credits of all names and websites.  Before submitting, please verify with your creative team how they would like to be credited (e.g. First and last name; first name only; stage name etc.). The editors at VEUX Mag work diligently to make sure all credits and names are spelled as provided by the submitter.  If you would like a change to the credits after publication, please email us and attempts to correct the error in a timely fashion will be made.
PLEASE NOTE:  If your name was spelled incorrectly because of an error by the submitter, we cannot mail you a replacement print copy.  The responsibility for proper spelling and accreditation lies with the contributor.

6. How does MagCloud work?

MagCloud is our third party distributor.  Any problems with print quality, shipping and handling, and lost items must be directed to the MagCloud site: http://www.magcloud.com/help/contact
If the concerns or questions are about a specific order, you must have an order number, which is provided to you at the time of purchase.  Please note that VEUX Magazine and AVW Publishing Inc. is not liable for MagCloud.

7. I love the editorials! Can I collaborate with you?

Send us an email at [email protected] to discuss! Also, please visit for more information: http://veuxmag.com/submit/fashion-beauty-editorial/

8. Can I buy a copy from my local bookstore?

Unfortunately, we don’t have a distributor other than MagCloud yet. Keep checking back as we grow, expand and revise our business plan. And, of course, if you’re interested in putting us in your store, send us an email!

9. If your name is in French, why don’t you have any French articles?

Because no one has submitted a French article yet! If you would like to submit a written piece, please check the Writing submission page for more information: http://veuxmag.com/submit/writing/

10. There is a [model/writer/photographer/designer/ artist/ make-up artist/ hair stylist/wardrobe stylist] that I saw in your magazine and loved. How do I get in touch with them?

Many of our contributing artists have their own websites and email addresses so it’s probably easiest to get in touch with them directly; otherwise, email us at [email protected] with your contact information and we will do our best to forward it to the right people.

11. Why do you cost so much?

MagCloud charges us $0.20 per page and $1.00 for perfect binding, so our print cost is determined by them. We are looking into alternatives to give our readers more options.

12. How do I submit?

Please read our Submit section: http://www.veuxmag.com/submit
Remember, when submitting you must be willing and able to provide signed releases for yourself and your team, as well as full and complete credits. We can’t publish without a release. It’s also up to you to make certain that all the information (especially spelling!) is correct. Our editors are great but they won’t catch a misspelled name!
